Balkan Youth Activism (BYA) proudly participated in the Acceleration Week for Global Youth Development Programs 2026 and the World Youth Development Forum 2026, held in Shanghai and Wuhan, China, alongside youth leaders, innovators, entrepreneurs, policymakers, and changemakers from more than 120 countries and regions worldwide.

The events provided a unique platform for dialogue and collaboration on some of the most pressing issues shaping the future of young people, including Artificial Intelligence, digital transformation, climate action, sustainable development, volunteerism, poverty reduction, youth entrepreneurship, and future skills development.

Global Participation

The forum brought together prominent international figures, including Felipe Paullier, representatives of the United Nations Development Programme, International Labour Organization, Food and Agriculture Organization, United Nations Volunteers, ministers, government officials, academics, experts, and youth representatives from across the globe.

Amplifying Youth Voices

For BYA, participation in these global gatherings represented an important opportunity to amplify the voices of young people from Albania and the Western Balkans, exchange experiences with international stakeholders, and explore new partnerships that can contribute to positive change within local communities.

Meaningful Collaboration

Through meaningful discussions, networking opportunities, and collaborative initiatives, the events reinforced the importance of youth engagement in addressing global challenges and advancing sustainable development goals.

Commitment to the Future

As the world continues to navigate rapid technological and social transformations, BYA remains committed to fostering international cooperation, empowering young people, and supporting innovative solutions that create lasting impact.

The future is being shaped through innovation, cooperation, and youth leadership—and Balkan Youth Activism was proud to be part of this global conversation.
